                           A New Beginning

Bo stood in the middle of the living room, looking around at the empty farmhouse. His wife Kelly, was outside putting their year old daughter, Olivia, in the car.
A few moments later, as Bo was lost in his own thoughts, his wife came back in the house and came over to him. She put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed it.
"You ready?" she asked softly.
Bo sighed. "Yeah." he said. "I just wanted one more look at the place."
"You'll be back." Kelly told him
"Yeah i know. This place holds alot of memories." Bo said "I'm just glad that we were able to get a someone in the family to take it. I didn't want some stranger moving in."
Kelly sqeezed his arm again. "Come on." she said taking his hand. " I've got to drop some stuff off by the Police Station before we get on the road and i think we need to do that soon."
Bo nodded and both turned and walked towards the door. Once he got to the door, he paused and looked back on more time. Then he turned back around and walked out the front door
"Is Libby alright?" Bo asked as he locked the front door."
Kelly nodded "Yeah shes fine. She's all strapped in."
"Shall i drive?" Bo asked.
"If you want or i can do it?" Kelly said. "I mean we are only going into town right now."
"I'll do it." Bo said and both walked over to the their Dodge Carivan and got in. As both he and Kelly got in and strapped themselves in, Bo looked back in the rear view mirror at his daughter.
"Hows my girl?" Bo said. "You ready to go?"
Olivia giggled.
Kelly turned to look at her daughter "Say bye, bye."
"Bye, bye." Olivia said after a moment.
Kelly turned to smile at her husband. "Shes so cute."
Bo grinned. "Just like someone else i know." he said as he leaned over and gave her a kiss.
"I love you to." Kelly said and patted his arm. "Come on, lets go."
Bo turned back and put the car in drive, but before he took his foot off the break, he took one last look at the place where he had grown up and then with a nod of his head, as if to say he was ready, he took his foot off the break and left the yard. A few moments later, the farm was out of sight and only the future, whatever it might hold, lay ahead of them.

Bo pulled into town about 15 minutes later. He drove over to the courthouse and stopped the van in front of it.
"You want me to come in with yeah." he asked.
"Sure. That way you can say goodbye to Cletus and Rosco if hes here."
Bo nodded, turned off the car and then unbuckled his seatbelt. As he got out of the car, Kelly started taking Olivia out of her seat.
A few moments later, Kelly had her out and Bo shut the sliding door for her.
"I'm sure Roscos going to love having me leave Hazzard." Bo commented as they walked over to the steps leading inside the courthouse.
"Oh come on." Kelly said, grinning, as they started up the steps. "Be nice now."
"Yes ma'am" Bo said with a grin
They walked inside and went to the Sheriff Department and walked through the double doors. Cletus was sitting at a table near a corner, with two deputies. They appeared to be having a converstation about something. Just as they walked into the room, Rosco, now retired, came out of one of the offices, he caught sight of them first.
"Hey ya'll." He greeted.
Cletus looked up from his conversation and spotted them. "Thought ya'll were supposed to be on the road." he said as he got up.
"Well we are. I needed to drop some stuff of though and say goodbye before we headed out." Kelly told him as she handed an envelope. "Thats got my keys to the car and some notes on that problem we were having."
Cletus nodded as he took the envelope. "Thanks Kelly." he said and extend his hand. "Its been a pleasure having you here and we are really going to hate loosing you."
Kelly shook his hand and smiled. "Thank you Cletus, it's been great."
"Good luck with the Rangers." he said
"Yeah." Rosco broke in. "Peter is a good person to work for and a nice guy. Ya'll will like him."
Kelly smiled and nodded. "Oh I'm sure he'll know all about us. Bye Rosco, enjoy your retirement." She said as she stuck out her hand to him.
Rosco took it and chuckled. "I'll try." he said "Good luck." he then looked at Bo and held out his hand.
Bo looked at his hand and shook it, feeling somewhat sad that he was leaving Hazzard. "I bet you're glad to see me get out of here, huh Rosco?"
"Well who will I chase now?." Rosco said and grinned. "I'll tell you the truth, i will miss you."
Bo nodded and the two men turned their hand shake into a hug. "I'll miss your gumball lights in my rear view mirror, but I'll have Peter to keep us in contact."
"You do that, i want to hear everything your up to in Houston." Rosco said and then made a shooing motion with his hands. "Now, go on and get. Ya'll need to get on the road."
"Will do, I'll tell Luke and Daisy hi for ya." He said as he slapped Rosco on the back and watched as Kelly and Olivia left. Bo walked towards the two double doors and turned around one last time to wave to them all. He turned back around and marched through those double doors for the last time.
They walked out to the van and while Kelly put Olivia back in her seat, Bo started it up.
"Ya ready to go?" Bo asked his wife as she got in the passenger seat.
Kelly sighed as she closed the door and buckled her seatbelt. "Texas here we come!"
Bo turned around and smiled at his daughter. "How about you Libby? You ready to go?"
His daughter made a few happy noises and clapped her hands. An obvious sign of approval.
Bo grinned and turned back around. "I guess thats a yes." he said as he put on his sunglasses. "Ok, here we go."
Bo put the van in gear and they drove out of Hazzard.

Bo's watch read a little past 10 o'clock when he pulled into the parking lot of the Jackson Inn. He parked the van and took his sunglasses off his head and put them on the dash, rubbing his eyes.
"It's a little after 9 Honey." He said when he saw Kelly's expression when she looked at the clock on the dashboard.
"Remember we gain an hour." Bo said as he looked at the office. "You stay here I'll go rent a room."
Kelly nodded and yawned. "Alright."
Bo sighed as he opened his door and walked into the office. He came back 5 minutes later with a key, he got back into the car and tucked the key into his shirt pocket. "Room 217, around the back, free continental breakfast, check out time 10 am." He said as he started up the van and drove around the back to the room
"How much?" Kelly asked
"Sixty." Bo said as he pulled into the parking space marked 217. He handed his wife the key. "Here go open the door, I'll grab the suitcases."
Kelly nodded and unbuckled her seatbelt. She got out of the car and went to the door and stuck the key in the lock and opened it.
She clanced at the room, it was a typical little motel room and she then went back to the van and opened the sliding door to get Olivia out.
Bo took Libby's small suitcase and one of the large ones that he and Kelly shared out of the trunk. He grabbed Libby's portable playpin and the little suitcase with their personal items out. He slammed the trunk closed and went inside.
Kelly got Olivia out of her seat and closed the door. She walked to the room and went inside and shut the door behind her with her foot.
Bo set everything down on top of the little table and flopped down on the bed."You want me to open the portable playpin for Libby or is she to wound up to sleep?" Bo said as he rubbed his eyes and stretched..
Kelly looked at their daughter and shook her head. "Nah, i think she's ready for bed. Why don't you get her pjs out of the suitcase and open up her playpin while i give her a quick bath."
"Okay." Bo said as he sat up and threw his legs over the side of the bed. He got up and unzipped Libby's suitcase. He took out her pink nightgown, pink crotchetted blanket and laid them out on the bed. He opened her playpin and spread the blanket out in it. "Honey do you want to order anything to eat? We haven't eaten since we crossed into Miss?"
Kelly nodded. "Yeah, but i think you better make it something light."
Bo nodded as he picked up his daughter's nightgown and went to the display of towels that was hanging from a shelf near the sink. He got a towel from it and opened the bathroom door. "Here's her nightgown and a towel."
Kelly took the items from him and put them down on top of the commode cover. "Thanks honey."
"So since only you and I haven't eaten in a few hundred miles, what do you want me to order?"
"How about a sandwich." Kelly said. "I'm sure they have room service, why don't you go check to see if they have a menu."
Bo nodded and closed the door, he sat down on the bed and took off his boots, tossing them in a corner somewhere. He saw the menu sitting on top of the TV and he got it and looked at it.
"Kelly....they got ham and cheese with fries, club with fries, a Ruben with fries and burgers."
"How about a club with fries."
"Okay." Bo crawled across the bed and picked up the phone and pushed the appropriate key for the 24 hour room service.
"Hi this is Room 217 I'd like to order a couple of sandwiches? Yes, one club with fries and one cheeseburger with fries and two cokes to go with that. Thank you." He hung up the phone and leaned back on the bed.
Kelly came out of the bathroom a few moments later, holding Olivia in her arms. She walked over to the bed and sat down and started rocking her.
"The food should be here within half an hour."
Kelly nodded and then stood up and put Olivia down in her playpin and pulled the blanket up. She kissed her and stood back up and walked back over to the bed and flopped down beside her husband
"So how are you enjoying the trip so far?" Bo asked as he put his arm around his wife.
"Its not bad. I wish we had more time so we could see more of the sights though."
"Yeah I know but we have to get to Houston. I don't want to leave the house empty much longer. I mean I know the Landlord said he'd watch it but still."
Kelly nodded. "Yeah i know"
There was a knock at the door and Bo got up and answered it. It was the room service waiter with their food and Bo paid him and cleared the suitcases off the table and set down the two styrofoam boxes and two sodas.
Kelly got up from the bed and pulled out one of chairs from the table and sat down. She opened one of the boxes and it was Bo's hand burger. "Here you go, this is yours." she said and handed him his food. She then opened the other one. "Looks good." she said as she picked up the sandwich.
"Yeah it does, so what time are we going to leave in the morning?" Bo asked as he started to eat.
"Well why don't we leave when the check out time is." she said as she took a bite of her sandwich
"Good idea, I know I'll be able to sleep that long."
Kelly laughed. "I think I probably could to." she said as she took a bite of her sandwich. "Would you like me to drive tomorrow?" she said after she swallowed
Bo took a sip of his soda and looked at his wife. "You want to drive tomorrow?"
Kelly shrugged. "Well it would give you a break."
Bo thought about it for a moment and nodded. "Sure...I can be the map jockey." He said with a smile.
Kelly grinned at him. "Long as you don't get us lost."  she said as she winked at him
"I won't be the one driving Sweetheart."
"Hey, now."
Bo started to laugh and fluttered his eyelashes at her. "I love you HoneyBunny." He said.
Kelly shook her head. "Your crazy you know that."
"Yes ma'am and just think...not only did you marry that craziness, but you have helped pass it on!"  He said pointing to Libby's playpin.
"Lord help us." Kelly said and started to laugh. "Its ok, i love you even though you are crazy." she said after a moment
Bo saw the look on her face and he started to laugh.
The two lovebirds finished their dinner and had gone to bed by the time the midnight hour came. Bo had left a wake up call for 8 am, giving them two hours to get ready to hit the road.

The night turned into day and at exactly 8 am, the phone rang. Bo rolled over and picked it up.
"Hello...."
"This is the wake up call that you requested! Get your RUMPS UP! Time to get out of BED SLEEPY HEAD. Thank you and have a nice day."
The line disconnected and he hung up the phone. Kelly woke up to the feel of the bed moving slightly as he chuckled at the unusual wake up call.
"Whats so funny?" she asked sleepily
"That wake up call! Some computerized voice telling me to get my butt out of bed."
Kelly laughed. "And such a cute butt it is."
"I knew it! You married me for my body. And here all this time I thought it was for love." Bo said as he reached over and turned on the lamp.
As he did so, Kelly reached around and grabbed his rear end and smiled at him impishly. "You found out my little secret."
Bo gasped and nearly fell out of the bed. He grabbed his wife's hand and rolled over to face her. "Hey watch those hands little girl or Libby just might get a playmate." He said as he kissed her.
Kelly grinned. "Well i do want another baby."
Bo put his arm around her and smiled. "Oh do ya now? Well I'd love to grant your wish right now, but how about we save that task until we get to Texas?"
"Promise?" Kelly asked
"Dukes honor. Now we better get going, we are only half way home." Bo said as he got up and brought their suitcase over.
Just then Olivia woke up and started crying
"You unzip the suitcase, I'll get Libby."
Bo went over to the playpin and picked up his daughter. "Morning Libby! How's my girl?" Bo said as he lifted her high.
"She probably needs her diaper changed. Why don't you do that while i get out the clothes." Kelly said as she opened the suitcase. "What do you want to wear today?"
Bo got out the wipes and a clean diaper as he laid her down on the bed and changed her. "Ummm, I'll get it."
"Alright." Kelly said as she grabbed some shorts and a t-shirt. "Be right back." she disappeared into the bathroom
Bo threw the used diaper away and carried his daughter over to her suitcase. He unzipped it and opened it, looking at all the clothes.
"What do you think Miss Duke? What shall we wear today?"
There were clothes of every color and Bo chose a little blue shorts outfit. "What about this one?" Libby reached out to touch it and Bo nodded his head. "I think so too. Let's put it on."
Just then Kelly came out of the bathroom dressed and running a brush through her brown hair. "Hows it going?" she asked
Bo put the blue shorts and shirt on his daughter and got a comb out of her suitcase, he was combing her hair and he smiled at Kelly. "Oh fine, almost done."
"Here, i'll finish getting her ready while you get dressed. " Kelly said as she walked over to the bed
Bo handed her the comb and gave her a quick salute as he got his clothes out of the suitcase. He went into the bathroom and came out 10 minutes later wearing a red tank top, black cotton shorts. He picked up his boots and put them in his suitcase and got out his sneakers and a pair of white socks.
Kelly raised an eyebrow at him. "Your unusually bright this morning." she said and grinned. "By the way, nice legs."
"Oh I am not unusually bright!" He put his hand on his hip and did a model pose. "What about the rest of me?"
Kelly looked her husband up and down and sighed. "Well let me put it like this, I don't think we will have any trouble having another baby. Does that answer your question?"
Bo turned as red as his tank top and smiled. "Yes it does. Let's pack it up and get out of here."
Kelly laughed again at his reaction. "Yes sir." she said
Bo zipped up their suitcase and got Olivia's and carried them to the door. He non chalantly smacked his wife on the rump as he opened the door and took the suitcases out to the van.
"Hey, come back here." Kelly said and followed him to the door and though of something. "You know we should probably eat before we leave here. What do you think?"
Bo put their luggage in the van and closed it. "I didn't forget about that. We get a free continental breakfast, and we aren't ready to go. The playpin is still in there."
Kelly crossed her arms and grinned. "If you give me a kiss, i might go get it."
Bo put his finger to his chin and made an exaggerated thinking face. "What if I give you more than a kiss?"
"And what do you have in mind?"
Bo got closer to his wife and gave her two kisses. "Two kisses! Go get the playpin."
Kelly grinned and went back inside and got the playpin and came back outside with it and handed to her husband. "Can i have another kiss now?"
Bo took it and put it in the trunk and closed it. He put his arm around her waist and drew her to him. "I don't know, you keep this up and we might not make it to Texas."
Kelly grinned. "Oh come here you." she said and reached up and put her hands on each side of his face and pulled him to her and kissed him passionatly
Bo was caught by surprise and when his wife released him he just looked at her with wide eyes. "Woman a kiss like that will postpone our leaving this hotel. I think we better go eat and get out of here."
Bo took her by the arm and led her back to the room so they could call room service.
Once the room service came, it only took them a short time to eat and they were ready to go. While Kelly loaded Olivia into the van, Bo went and checked out. Bo wasn't back yet when she climbed in the drivers side and started the van, so she pulled out of the parking space and went around to the front. A few moments later, Bo came out and got in the van and they pulled away from the motel, leaving Jackson, Mississippi behind.

Once they were on the expressway, Kelly turned briefly to look at Bo and then back at the road. "So, why did it take you so long to come back out of the office?"
"The manager was on the phone and no one else could check us out but him. Do you know what exit we take to get to highway 75?" Bo said as he got out the map.
Kelly thought about it for a moment. "I think its Exit 40."
"Yup, exit 40." Bo said as he took his sunglasses down from the visor and put them on. He moved his seat back and put his legs up on the dashboard. "Ahhhh I can use to traveling like this."
Kelly reached over with one hand and swated at his legs. "Put your legs down, " she said "Besides, i don't want everyone to know that you have such cute legs."
"No ma'am, I'm working on my tan." He said as he folded the map and tucked it in the visor. He laced his hands in his lap and leaned back in the seat.
"Comfy?" She asked, grinning
"Yup, very. How about you?"
"Well about as comfortable as i can be since i'm driving."
"Oh good, and you are the one that wanted to drive."
"Yeah i guess i asked for it." Kelly said and reached over and held out a hand so Bo could take it
Bo lifted his head and lowered his glasses. "And what is that?" He said in a teasing tone.
"Just wanted to shake your hand." Kelly said and smiled. "No, i just wanted to hold your hand."
Bo grabbed her wrist and made her hand shake. "Is that what you wanted?"
"Oh Bo." Kelly said as she took the hand and swatted him on the arm.
Bo took his wife's hand and held it in his. He brought it to his lips and kissed it gently. "Better?"
Kelly smiled. "Yes." she said "Much"

With a sensible driver behind the wheel, fill ups were few and by the time the sun was setting, the Dukes were in Houston. Kelly told Bo where the directions were in her purse and with his help, she made it to their new home. Bo saw the General Lee and his Charger sitting in the driveway and he smiled when he saw them.
"Oh good, it looks like the cars made it here in one piece." Kelly said as she pulled into the driveway.
"Especially my new baby." Bo said as he looked at the brand new electric blue 2000 Dodge Charger that he had bought in Atlanta.
Kelly snorted as she stopped the van and put it in park. "Now if the dishes and furniture arrived in one piece, we'll be in business."
Bo got out of the van fast and went over to his brand new toy. He ran his hand along the hood and sighed. He went to the front door and dug the keys out of his pocket and unlocked it. He opened the door and was happy to see that the movers had set up their living room for them. "Kelly come here."
Kelly was in the process of getting Olivia out of the car when he called to her. "Just a sec." she said.
A moment later, she had Olivia out of the van and after she closed the door, she walked to where her husband stood
Bo turned around and scooped up his wife and daughter. He stepped over the threshold and set them down inside the door. "There! Now it is official." He said as he took the keys from her hand and went to get the suitcases.
"Ooo." Kelly said laughing. "I feel like we just got married."
Bo brought the suitcases into the house and set them down in the living room. "Nah, been there.. done that." He said as he went back out again.
Kelly smiled and shook her head. She looked around at their new house and smiled again. "Look Olivia, our new home." she said to the little girl
"Why don't you look around and make sure they put our bedroom stuff in the master bedroom and stuff like that." Bo said as he closed the trunk and brought the last of their suitcases inside and closed the door.
Kelly nodded and with Olivia in her arms walked through the living room back to the hallway that lead to the bedrooms. She peaked into the first bedroom she came to and saw all the baby stuff in there and she nodded her head. "Here's your room Libby." she said and then went to the room that was at the end of the hall. It was a larger room and she saw her and Bo's stuff in the room. "Its all here." she told Bo
"Okay, all the kitchen stuff is there too and of course the General and Baby is in the driveway, so I say we got it all!" Bo said as he sat down on the multi-colored couch and put his feet on the coffee table.
Kelly came back into the living room and saw Bo with his feet up on the coffee table and she shook her head. "No you don't mister. If your going to do that, take off your sneakers first."
Bo took his feet off the table and looked at his wife. "I'm going to turn on the AC, and maybe give Luke a call." Bo said as he got up and flipped on the central air, a blast of cool air into the stuffy house. "Ahh that's better." He picked up the cordless that the movers had very nicely plugged it for them and started dialing.
"Hello?" a familar voice said after the third ring
Greeting's from the Lone Star State!"
"Hey Cousin. So, ya'll are in Texas now?"
"Yup, just got here, the Rangers must have gave those movers a lot of dough, they pretty much totally unpacked for us! Even plugged in the cordless." Bo said as he took off his shoes and stretched out on the couch.
Luke laughed. "So, how was the trip?"
"Not bad, I drove til we got to Jackson, we spent the night and then Kelly drove the rest of the way in."
Luke snorted. "You let HER drive...Bo, don't you know the law of husbands?"
Bo creased his brow. "What law is that?"
Luke made a tisking sound. "The law states that the wife never does any driving especially on trips."
Bo snickered and shook his head. "Oh brother, first of all, how do you know? You aren't married and second, if I said that to Kelly, I would have ended up WALKING to Texas."
Luke laughed. "Well you right, i ain't married but i do know its a law that all men follow."
"Ha! Not this man! I want to LIVE!"
"And maybe thats why i'm not getting married yet."
Bo started to laugh."I take it you are alone in the room, because if Tracy were there you just might find a frying pan either in your skull or someplace where the sun don't shine."
Luke snickered. "No she's upstairs." he said. "Well you know a man DOES have to protect his reputation."
"So tell me Oh Wisest of all Cousins...I'm sure your reputation is protected but what protection is there from a flying frying pan?"
"Not a whole heck of alot but to answer your question, I can always duck."
"Uh huh, you just watch out for flying objects Luke Duck, er.. I mean Duke."
"I'll try my best."
"You do that Cousin. Well I better get off this thing before I have to duck flying frying pans too."
Luke laughed. "Ok, well tell Kelly and Olivia hello for me and I'll talk to you later...And thanks for letting me know ya'll got in safely."
"Will do, give your little gang a hey from me and I'll talk to ya later Luke."
"Alright," Luke said. "Bye."
"Bye Cousin, Oh and Rosco says hi!"
Luke laughed again. "Really? Will wonders never cease."
"Yeah really. Well talk to you later Luke. Bye."
 "Bye."
Bo hung up the phone and laughed, he looked around for his wife but didn't see her."Kelly?"
"In the kitchen." she called back
"Great I'm starving!" Bo got off the couch and went into the kitchen. "You should have heard that cousin of mine, giving me sass just because you drove for half the trip."
Kelly turned towards him and raised an eyebrow. "Oh really and what did YOU say?"
"That there was nothing wrong with you driving. He said I was violating a law of all men. I told him that if I had told you that you couldn't drive I would have ended up walking to Texas."
Kelly smiled. "Good boy." she said and changed the subject. "So what would like for dinner?"
"Hummm what do I want?" He asked as he stood behind his wife and put his arms around her waist, resting his head on her shoulder.
Kelly smiled. "That can be dessert sweetie, but for right now, what would you like for dinner?"
Bo laughed and kissed his wife's neck. "Well considering we have no food in the house, we could order something."
Kelly picked up another wrapped dish from a box and started unwrapping it. "Your right, well YOU can always go grocery shopping." she said smiling as she turned her head towards him and kissed him on the cheek.
"The store? Aww come on! We just drove 17 hours to get here." He whined.
Kelly giggled. "I was just kidding dear." she said. "What would you like to order?"
"You were huh?" Bo said as he tickled her sides.
Kelly squirmed. "Hey, stop." she said laughing. "I don't want to drop this plate."
Bo stopped tickling her and sighed. "We can order pizza or maybe Chinese."
"Chinese sounds good to me." Kelly said
"Me too, I hope they have a good place. I better go find the phone book."
Bo let go of his wife and went back into the living room, he found the phone book and flipped through it, looking for a place that delivered Chinese food.
"Hey!! Get me some Sesame Chicken."  Kelly shouted from the kitchen
"Will do." Bo found the number to the Oriental Blossom Restaurant and called them. He ordered dinner and hung up the phone. He went back to the kitchen and started helping unpack the dishes. "They'll be here in 30, is Libby napping?"
Kelly nodded. "Yeah, i put her down while you were talking to Luke."
Bo took a large butcher paper wrapped object from the dish barrel box and unwrapped it, it was a silver cup. Bo looked sad all of a sudden.
Kelly saw his expression and she put down the plate she was unwrapping. "Bo? What's wrong sweetheart?"
Bo looked down at the overgrown chalise he was holding. He ran his hand over the engraved letters and swallowed hard. "This was the prize to a race Uncle Jesse won a long time ago. He gave it to me when I won my first race when I was 16. I've had it ever since, I didn't expect the movers to pack it with the dishes."
"Oh Bo." Kelly said quietly and put her arms around her husband and hugged him. She looked down at the plague on the prize. It read, Awarded to Jesse Duke, first prize in the Old Time Ridge Runners Race, 1940
"I miss him..." Bo said softly as he hugged his wife.
Just as Kelly was about to say something comforting, Olivia awoke from her nap and started crying.
Bo let go of his wife and discreetly wiped his eyes. "I'll get her..." He said as he left the kitchen.
Kelly sighed and looked at the prize, suddenly wishing she had gotten to meet Bo's Uncle.
Bo came back in carrying his daughter, his blue eyes red with pain and loss.
Kelly went over to them both and put her arms around them. "I love you." she whispered
"Love you too." He whispered, feeling a little better.
The door bell chose that time to ring. "I'll get it." Kelly said as she opened her purse that was sitting on the counter and pulled out her billfold. She went to the door and opened it
"Evening, Oriental Blossom delivery for Bo Duke." The young man said.
"Thats us." Kelly said.
The young man smiled and looked on the box. "The total is $19.75 Ma'am."
Kelly nodded and opened her billfold. She pulled out a 20 dollar bill and two ones and handed it to the young man. "There you are." she said
The young man gave her a quarter and the paper bag. "Thank you, have a nice evening."
"Thank you," Kelly said and as the boy left she went back in and closed the door. "Chows here. " she said as she walked into the kitchen
"How about we eat in the dining room?"
"Sounds good to me." Kelly said and lead the way to the dining room. Once there she set the bag down and started taking things out as Bo put Libby in a high chair.

The three of them ate dinner in their new home and soon the fatigue from their long trip began to take its toll. It was barely 8 and Libby was sound asleep on the floor. Kelly took her to bed and she came back to the living room and curled up next to her husband on the couch.
Kelly had noticed that Bo had been somewhat quite since he saw the cup and she decided he might need to talk about it somemore. "You want to talk about it?" she asked
Bo shrugged his shoulders and started playing with his fingers, a sure sign of his frame of mind. "I'm fine." He said quietly.
Kelly put a hand on his fingers to stop him and she looked at him. "No your not Bo. Come on, its me. You can talk to me."
"There's nothing to talk about, I'm just tired." He said without looking at her. He wouldn't look into her eyes because if he did, she would see right through the brave front he was currently hiding behind.
Kelly sighed and sat up. She looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "You want to look me in the eye and tell me that?" she reached a hand over and took his chin in her hand and turned his face towards her.
Bo was now eye level with his wife. He swallowed hard as her striking green eyes bore through his blue ones. He saw the truth in them and his front was beginning to crumble. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees as he covered his face with his hands. He exhaled through them. "I don't want to talk about this. But that won't stop you will it?"
"No." she said and started rubbing his back. "Its alright sweetie, just tell me. I want to help"
"You can't help me, this is something that no one but me can get over. And the truth is, I don't know if I ever will."
"The truth is Bo you don't." Kelly said. "You don't ever really get over it but you do find a way through it...just like i did when Jason died...Even though it took me a couple of years, i eventually got back on my feet...and i found you.
Bo finally turned to look at her and he took her hand. "It isn't fair, he never got to meet you or see Libby." Bo paused for a moment, as the tears filled his eyes. "She's never going to know him and that is the hardest part to bear. All i have to tell her are the stories and the memories."
"Come here." she said
Kelly put her arms around him and hugged him. Bo buried his head in his wife's shoulder. "That's all I got of Uncle Jesse, I just hope it's enough."
"I'm sure it will be." Kelly said as she stroked his hair. She looked up at the ceiling and smiled softly. "From what you told me about your experience, he is watching us now...And you know what, he sees me and he sees Libby and i'm sure he's very proud of you."
Bo lifted his head and looked at her and a small smile came to his lips. "I bet he likes you. I can hear him now, that girl has a lot of spunk." Bo could hear his Uncle's voice and he chuckled a little and wiped his face. "I just miss him, and sometimes it seems like I am finding my way through it and sometimes, like tonight, I think that I'm not."
Kelly smiled and stroked his hair again. "That's part of the process, but one day the mourning will be finished."
Bo sighed and kissed her gently. "I know, thanks Honey. But there is one thing I gotta say."
"And whats that?" Kelly asked
Bo grinned at her and shook his head. "Boy, death sure does suck. How about we go to bed?"
"Yes it does.." Kelly agreed and smiled "And i think that is a great idea."
"Me too, I got that wish of yours that I promised to grant once we got to Texas."
Kelly grinned and kissed him on the lips. "Yes you do." she said and stood up. "Come on." she held out a hand.
Bo smiled and took her hand as he stood up. "I think I'm going to like it here." He said as they went down the hall to their bedroom.

The bright morning sun hit Bo right in the face, waking him up. He rolled over and the light began burning his back. He got up from the bed and pulled the curtain over some, blocking the light. "Ahh much better." He was in a very happy mood and wanted to wake up his wife in the gentlest way he could think of. He started jumping up and down on the bed
Kelly awoke instantly and turned over and glared at Bo. "Stop that." she said. "Your going to ruin the bed."
"Am not." He said as he continued bouncing up and down.
Kelly could tell that Bo was obviously in a good mood this morning and she was happy for him, but she still didn't need him ruining the mattress. She sat up and grabbed her husband around his waist and pulled him down.
"Come here you." she said
"Yikes!" He said as his wife ended up on top of him. "Now I like this kind of morning greeting." Bo said as he kissed his wife.
"I just bet you do." She answered as he kissed her
"So what should we do today?"
Kelly laid her head down on his chest. "I don't know." she said. "How about we drive around and see where everything is?"
"Sure, it is important to know where work is."
"Yes i think so to." Kelly said as she rolled off of him and sat up. "What would you like for breakfast?"
Bo sat up and thought about it for a minute. "Well how about I make you breakfast?"
"Wow." Kelly said and grinned. "That would be great, but we don't really have anything here."
"Hummm I forgot about that. So what are we going to do? Go to the store?"
"Well, I'm sure theres a Shoney's around here somewhere that we can go for breakfast." Kelly said. "After that we can go tour the city and then make a trip to the store."
Bo smiled. "I married a genius! I'll go take care of Libby."
"Why thank you." Kelly said and kissed him. "Yeah you can get her, while i get dressed."
"No problem."
Bo got up from the bed and threw on a t-shirt, he left the room and went next door to his daughter's room to get her dressed.
Kelly got up and went over to their suitcase, they hadn't unpacked just yet. She pulled out a  pair of blue jeens and a shirt and started to get dressed
Just as she finished getting dressed, the phone on the bedside table started ringing. "I got it," Kelly said outloud and went over to the table and picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Hi Kelly, welcome to Houston."
"Oh hey Peter. Thanks."
"You're Welcome, how was the trip?"
"It was long, but it wasn't to bad. We got in late yesterday."
"Great, so are you ready for your first day on Monday?"
"Sure am. I can't wait to get started."
"Oh don't worry, things are never dull here. I was wondering, are you all free tomorrow?"
"Yeah we should be."
"Great, how about you come over for a BBQ? I want to talk about a program I'm starting and I also want to meet one half of the infamous Duke boys my cousin always talks about. Is 1 o'clock okay? I'm making ribs, potato salad, baked beans, french bread. You can meet the Mrs. and my daughters."
"That sounds great. We'll be over at 1. Should we bring anything?"
"How about you bring something for dessert? The rest is covered."
"Sounds good....Oh, can i get the directions to your house?"
"Sure, get on the freeway, get off at Beach Blvd, go down to the light and hang a left. Go about 3 or 4 lights to 35th and turn right. Then just look for Wyler Drive, house number 11202. Big brick house, can't miss it."
Kelly found a piece of paper and pen and wrote down the instructions. "Got it"
"Great..We'll see you at 1 tomorrow afternoon then."
"Alright..Talk to you later."
"Bye."
Bo came in carrying their daughter, she was dressed all in yellow. "So who was that?"
Kelly raised an eyebrow at his choice in clothing for their daughter. "That was Peter Coltrane. He was just calling to see if we made it in and to see if he wanted to come to a barbecue he's having at his house tomorrow."
Bo saw her face and he set Libby down on the floor. "You don't like what I dressed her in?"
Kelly laughed. "Well if you like bananas." she said, teasingly
"Ha, ha. Did you tell Peter we would go?"
Kelly nodded. "Yeah, we're supposed to be there at 1. He says he can't wait to meet you."
"Great, I bet Rosco told him some stories. Now if you Ladies will excuse me, I would like to get dressed. Unless my wife wants to watch." He said he moved his eyebrows up and down.
Kelly grinned as she bent down to pick up Olivia. "Nah, we'll wait in the living room for you." she said and walked to the door. She turned around and smiled at him. "Don't take to long, otherwise i might have to come in after you."
"Promise?"
"I promise." Kelly said and left the room
Bo got dressed fast and the three of them went to have breakfast and took in the sights around the new place they called home. They drove to the Ranger station and after that they went to the store.

By time they got home, it was 4 30. The groceries were put away and Libby was put down for her nap. Kelly started to cook dinner and at 6 30, they sat down and ate. After dinner was over, Libby played on the floor with her toys while her parents popped a rented movie into the VCR.  It was a little past 9 when the phone rang.
"I'll get it." Bo said as he picked up the cordless phone on the second ring. "Hello..."
"Hey Cousin."
"Hey Lukas! What's going on in the big CA?" Bo said as he got up from the couch and went into the kitchen.
"Actually i'm not in L.A at the moment. I'm in Las Vegas."
Bo sat down at the table and creased his brow. "Vegas? Doing a little gambling Cousin?"
"Well....not quite."
Bo raised an eyebrow, not understanding what Luke was doing."Then uhh...what are you doing there?"
"Tracy and I eloped Bo. She and I just got married."
Bo started laughing hard, nearly dropping the phone and nearly falling out of his chair. He was so loud that Kelly came into the kitchen.
"I'm being serious Bo."
Bo looked at Kelly and wiggled his ring finger at her, as he finally caught his breath. "I know you are, you sly dog! I can't beleive it, Luke Duke took the plunge! Did hell freeze over today? Cause as I recall a certain dark headed cousin of mine once said he'd get married when hell froze over." He said, the laughter threatening to explode again.
"Yeah i guess i did...No, actually Tracy and i just decided to do it. So, we came down here."
"Hey, let me talk to the blushing bride." Bo said, hearing his new cousin-in-law saying that she had to beat Luke into marrying her. He remembered the bet they had made and it was time to collect.
There was a moment of silence as the phone was passed and then "Hello?"
"Hey Cousin, Congratulations! But you do know what this means don't ya? You owe me 50 dollars." Bo said with a mischevious grin, he was happy that he had won.
"Yeah i guess i do, don't I... Will you take a check?"
Kelly saw her husband's joy and she shook her head at his antics and rolled her eyes at him.
"No way Lady, I want it CFB." He said loudly.
"What's CFB?"
"Cash for Bo!" He said getting up from the table.
There was laughter over the phone. "Your crazy, you know that? I guess this means, Luke and i are going to be doing some gambling."
Kelly decided to wait for the long version of this story and left her pacing husband to go back and watch the movie they had rented.
"That I am and yes you are! Can I please speak to the groom again?"
 "Sure...Talk to you later."
There was silence again as the phone was passed back to Luke
"I'm here.".
Bo stopped pacing and leaned against the sink, crossing his arm across his chest. "You know Cousin I should punch you in the nose for doing this without me."
"Well i guess its a good thing we are in separate states."
"I said that I should, I didnt say I was going to. I'm just glad that I won the bet!"
"What bet?"
Bo raised an eyebrow. "Oh didn't Tracy tell you that she owes me 50 dollars? We made a bet when i was in LA that she could get you to marry her. I said she could, but she said she couldn't."
"No, she didn't tell me about it."
Bo started to giggle. "Well I'll let her tell ya all about it whenever you two get a free moment. But I'm sure you'll both be busy for the next few days...Do you need to have that talk about the birds and the bees Cousin?"
"Bo...."
Bo burst out laughing. "I see your face turning a thousand colors Cousin. So I better let you go um.. play."
"So how are you cousin? Texas ok?"
"Oh sure change the subject! Texas is good, sorta like Hazzard but the roads are paved and there are less COWS around."
"And more cars, right....Ya'll adjusting ok?"
"Yeah, we're doing okay Luke. Listen this is your wedding night and you shouldn't spend it on the phone." Bo said nodding.
"I know....Ok, well send my love to the Kelly and Olivia and i'll talk to you when i get back to L.A"
Bo smiled, he couldn't be happier for Luke."You got it Cousin, give our love to Tracy and the boys and call me whenever you get a chance."
"Will do cousin. Take care."
"Take care yourself, bye Luke."
"Bye."
Bo hung up the phone and tapped the antenna against his chin. "I can't believe it, Luke got married." He said to himself. The idea that his bachelor cousin had finally given in made Bo start to laugh as he went back into the living room.
Kelly looked at him as he came into the living room and muted the tv. "So, what's going on?"
Bo set the cordless down on the coffee table and plopped down beside his wife. "Luke and Tracy eloped to Las Vegas."
"Eloped? Really?" Kelly said laughing.
"I know, it took me by surprise, as I'm sure you heard."
"Oh yes, i definatly heard." Kelly said. "So i guess this means you won that bet you made with Tracy?"
Bo smiled and took her hand. "I sure did, 50 big ones."
"Well i'm happy for them."
"Yeah so am I, I knew that Tracy would get him though."
Kelly grinned and squeezed his hand. "And how did you know?"
Bo shrugged his shoulders and turned to look at his wife. "Because he loves her, so much. I've seen a lot of women come and go in his life, but when I saw the way he looks at Tracy, I knew she was the one for him. Just like I knew you were the one for me." He said as his fingers moved down her face.
Kelly smiled, blushing slightly. "I love you to." she said
"Always..." He said as he kissed her cheek.
Kelly smiled again and looked over over at their daughter. Olivia was laying down on the floor and looked to be sound asleep.
"Looks like our little one is sound asleep. I'll put her to bed." Kelly said as she got up and went over to where Olivia lay and scopped her up. "Be back in a few minutes." she whispered to Bo as she walked to her bedroom
Kelly came back into the living room a few minutes later and laid down beside her husband. "She's sound asleep, didn't even wake up when i put her in her bed."
Bo nodded his head and took his wife's hand. "Kelly, I need to tell you something."
Kelly nodded. "Sure."
He turned on his side so he was face to face with Kelly. "You and Libby are my life and I've never been happier." He said smiling.
Kelly was speechless. She wanted to say something, but she felt like her brain was disconnected from her mouth
Bo saw her total astonishment and he touched her face. "You don't have to say anything, why don't we just go to bed." He got up from the couch and stretched out his hand.
Kelly put her hand in his and let him pull her up.
